About The Position

The Retail Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe store environment, with a focus on floor care. Duties include operating floor scrubbers and buffers; dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot-cleaning glass and windows. The associate maintains cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms, and follows health and safety requirements, including refilling essential items. The role is cross-trained in other store areas and supports front-end coverage as needed. The associate follows customer experience, merchandising, signage, operational, and loss-prevention standards; communicates effectively with management and colleagues; and contributes to a positive, safe, and respectful store culture. Other duties may be assigned.

Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate floor buffers and scrubbers.

Retail customer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain store cleanliness and organization, with particular focus on floor care.
Operate the floor scrubber and buffer and perform dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning of glass and windows.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms.
Follow health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the lounge, restrooms, and front end.
Cross-train in other store areas, such as the backroom, front end, and sales floor, and support front-end coverage needs.
Model customer experience practices with internal and external customers and contribute to a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Uphold merchandising and signage standards and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Follow operational and loss-prevention controls and company guidelines, including shrink-reduction practices.
Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break period policies.
Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
