About The Position

Arcus is recruiting a part-time In Store Cleaner for the Sainsbury’s Springfield store on a fixed-term basis. The role is 20 hours per week, paid at £12.71 per hour, with an immediate start available. The current shift pattern is Sunday 06:00–11:00; Monday 05:00–08:00; Tuesday off; Wednesday 05:00–08:00; Thursday 05:00–08:00; Friday 05:00–08:00; and Saturday 05:00–08:00. Overtime may provide an opportunity to increase hours.

The cleaner helps keep the supermarket clean and safe for customers by completing daily cleaning tasks to a high standard. Tasks may include operating machinery; mopping, vacuuming, wiping and sweeping; cleaning toilets, surfaces, ceilings, windows or oven canopies; and cleaning outdoor trolley bays. Arcus provides full training. The employee must provide an NFC-capable smartphone to access the Arcus Connect app for recording time and attendance; this is a condition of employment.

Requirements

• Have an eye for detail and cleanliness.
• Have a positive attitude to cleaning and customer service.

Nice To Haves

• Previous cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily cleaning tasks to maintain high cleaning standards in the store.
• Operate cleaning machinery.
• Mop, vacuum, wipe and sweep store areas.
• Clean toilets, surfaces, ceilings, windows and oven canopies when required.
• Keep outdoor trolley bays clean and free of leaves and debris.
• Apply all health and safety procedures.
