About The Position

The Overnight Retail Cashier provides customer service during late-night hours at a 24-hour store. The role processes customer transactions, applies discounts and promotions, follows company policies and laws regarding restricted sales, and helps keep the store clean, organized, stocked, and welcoming. Cashiers may also assist with other store duties as needed. The position is part-time and offers shifts from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. or 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. To qualify for the overnight shift differential, employees must work at least four hours between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.

• Frequently stand, walk, bend, twist, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel or crouch, and talk and listen.
• Frequently lift or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 65 pounds.
• Work safely in conditions involving heat, cold, allergens, noise, and fumes, chemicals, or odors from gasoline and cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, thank them for their business, and invite them to return.
• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate checkout service.
• Apply discounts and promotions when applicable, following company policies and laws related to restricted sales such as alcohol and tobacco.
• Maintain a clean and organized store, inside and out.
• Stock and rotate shelves, coolers, and displays properly.
• Assist with additional store duties as needed.
