Overnight Retail Cashier
About The Position
Join Jacksons as an Overnight Retail Cashier and provide customer service during late-night hours. The role includes processing transactions, keeping the store clean and organized, and helping create a welcoming environment for customers. The shift is 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Overnight shift differential eligibility requires working at least four hours between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. The listed pay is $16.50 per hour, including a $1.00 shift differential. The stores operate 24/7, so flexible availability for nights, weekends, and holidays is required. The job involves frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling or crouching, and talking and listening. Employees must frequently lift or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 65 pounds. Work conditions may include heat, cold, allergens, noise, and fumes, chemicals, or odors from gasoline and cleaning chemicals. Responsibilities
- Greet customers, thank them for their business, and invite them back.
- Provide fast, friendly, and accurate checkout service.
- Apply discounts and promotions as applicable while following company policies and laws related to restricted sales, including alcohol and tobacco.
- Maintain a clean and organized store, inside and out.
- Stock and rotate shelves, coolers, and displays properly.
- Assist with additional store duties as needed.
