Overnight Retail Cashier
About The Position
Join Jacksons as an Overnight Retail Cashier, providing customer service during late-night hours. The role involves processing transactions, maintaining a clean and organized store, stocking and rotating merchandise, and helping create a welcoming environment for guests. The position is full-time, with listed shifts of 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. To qualify for the overnight shift differential, employees must work at least four hours between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. Stores operate 24/7 and require flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The role requires frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling or crouching, and talking and listening. Employees frequently lift or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 65 pounds. Work conditions may include heat, cold, allergens, noise, and fumes, chemicals, or odors from gasoline and cleaning chemicals. Responsibilities
- Greet customers, thank them for their business, and invite them back.
- Provide fast, friendly, and accurate checkout service.
- Apply discounts and promotions as applicable while following company policies and laws concerning restricted sales, including alcohol and tobacco.
- Maintain a clean and organized store, inside and out.
- Stock and rotate shelves, coolers, and displays properly.
- Assist with additional store duties as needed.
