About The Position

The Overnight Retail Cashier provides customer service and checkout support during late-night hours at a 24-hour store. The role includes processing transactions, keeping the store clean and organized, stocking and rotating merchandise, and helping create a welcoming environment for customers. The position is part-time, with listed shifts of 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. An overnight shift differential is available to eligible employees who work at least four hours between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.

The role requires flexible availability for a 24/7 operation, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Physical duties include frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and other movements, as well as lifting up to 20 pounds frequently and up to 65 pounds occasionally. Work conditions may include heat, cold, allergens, noise, and fumes, chemicals, or odors from gasoline and cleaning products.

• Work safely in conditions involving heat, cold, allergens, noise, and fumes, chemicals, or odors from gasoline and cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, thank them for their business, and invite them to return.
• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate checkout service.
• Apply discounts and promotions when applicable while following company policies and laws for restricted sales, including alcohol and tobacco.
• Maintain a clean and organized store, inside and out.
• Stock and rotate shelves, coolers, and displays properly.
• Assist with additional store duties as needed.
