Retail Cashier Part Time
About The Position
Love’s cashiers work in a fast-paced environment, keeping their work areas clean while providing customers with fast, friendly, and accurate service. They help customers find items, answer questions about products and services, address customer needs, process transactions, and offer additional sales opportunities while following applicable laws. Cashiers use methods and technology to ensure food safety for fresh food and deli products. Duties may vary according to business needs, and team members may cross-train in other departments, including Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles. Love’s provides training for candidates without prior experience.
Requirements
- Ability to move and lift 25 or more pounds.
- Ability to work in various temperatures.
- Flexibility and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities
- Help customers find items, answer questions about products and services, and address customer needs.
- Complete customer transactions and balance the cash register while offering additional sales opportunities and following state and local laws.
- Use methods and technology to ensure proper food safety conditions for fresh food and deli products.
- Clean the direct working area, sales floor, restrooms, showers, and gas/diesel pumps, and complete trash runs.
- Potentially cross-train in Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.
