Retail Cashier Weekends/Evenings
About The Position
The Retail Cashier is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The position follows operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The role models established customer experience practices, supports a positive store culture, accurately processes purchases and returns, and promotes credit and loyalty programs. It also supports merchandising, sales-floor preparation and recovery, store cleanliness, shrink reduction, and safety. The cashier works with peers and supervisors, follows applicable labor laws and company procedures, and performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
- Engage and interact with customers while modeling established customer experience practices.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Follow the merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
