About The Position

As a Cashier at Meijer, you provide efficient and effective customer service in the checkout lane and create positive, memorable experiences for customers. You are often the last touchpoint customers have before leaving the store, helping make everyday interactions meaningful and encouraging customers to return. The role involves learning Meijer programs and promotions, using store systems to complete transactions, responsibly handling payments, communicating clearly, and assisting with other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly. The position is part time and includes evening and weekend work.

Requirements

Be 18 years of age or older.
Enjoy working with people and providing great service.
Be comfortable learning and using technology.
Listen well, communicate clearly, and stay organized.
Be dependable, detail-oriented, and eager to help.
Be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods.

Previous retail or customer service experience is helpful but not required.
