About The Position

The Retail Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The role adheres to operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may involve cross-training in multiple store areas to support business needs. The associate supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; accurately processes customer purchases and returns; promotes credit and loyalty programs; and prepares and maintains merchandise according to company procedures. The role also includes store recovery, cleanliness, safety awareness, shrink-reduction activities, and following applicable labor laws, policies, and procedures. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow merchandising procedures and standards.
Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain cleanliness throughout the store.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
