Retail Cashier Part Time
About The Position
Love’s cashiers work in a fast-paced environment, keeping work areas clean while providing customers with fast, friendly, and accurate service. They help customers find items, answer questions about products and services, address customer needs, and complete register transactions. The role may include offering additional sales opportunities, maintaining food safety for fresh food and deli products, and cleaning areas throughout the store and travel stop. Duties may vary according to business needs, so flexibility and teamwork are important. No experience is required; training is provided. Team members may also cross-train in Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.
Requirements
- Ability to move and lift 25 or more pounds.
- Ability to work in various temperatures.
- Flexibility and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities
- Help customers find items, answer questions about products and services, and address customer needs.
- Complete customer transactions and balance a cash register while following state and local laws.
- Offer additional sales opportunities to customers.
- Use a variety of methods and technology to ensure proper food safety conditions for fresh food and deli products.
- Clean the direct work area, sales floor, restrooms, showers, and gas/diesel pumps, and complete trash runs.
- Potentially cross-train in Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.
