Retail Cashier Part Time
About The Position
Love’s cashiers work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining clean spaces while providing customers with fast, friendly, and accurate service. They assist customers with finding items, answer questions about products and services, address customer needs, and process transactions while following applicable state and local laws. Cashiers may offer additional sales opportunities and use various methods and technology to help ensure food safety for fresh food and deli products. The role also involves cleaning assigned work areas and other store areas, and may include cross-training in other departments based on business needs. No experience is required; training is provided.
Requirements
- Ability to move and lift 25 or more pounds.
- Ability to work in various temperatures.
- Flexibility and teamwork skills are important.

Responsibilities
- Help customers find items, answer questions about products and services, and address customer needs.
- Complete customer transactions and balance a cash register while following state and local laws.
- Offer additional sales opportunities to customers.
- Use methods and technology to ensure proper food safety conditions for fresh food and deli products.
- Clean the direct working area, sales floor, restrooms, showers, and gas/diesel pumps, and complete trash runs.
- Potentially cross-train in Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles, depending on business needs.
