About The Position

The Retail Cashier & Sales Floor Support employee provides customer service at the point of sale and supports the shoes department and other store areas. The role assists customers by phone and at checkout with purchases, returns, and other transactions, while helping keep service quick, easy, and enjoyable. The employee maintains the cash wrap and sales floor, stays informed about fashion trends and products, and helps customers make purchase decisions. The position may also support order fulfillment and order pick-up.

Responsibilities

Assist customers by phone and at checkout with sales, returns, and other transactions while providing excellent customer service.
Listen to customer needs and provide quick, easy, and enjoyable service.
Help keep the department runway ready by straightening, lightly cleaning, and restocking the cash wrap area and sales floor.
Stay informed about key fashion trends and products to help customers with purchase decisions.
Tell customers about upcoming events, Nordstrom gift cards, and the Nordstrom Rewards program to build customer relationships.
Support other areas of the store, including order fulfillment and order pick-up, as needed.
