About The Position

The Retail Banking Representative is responsible for opening personal and business accounts, ensuring required documentation is collected and properly recorded, and cross-selling bank products and services. The representative assists customers and branch personnel with account inquiries and provides customer service in person, by email, and by phone, as well as to internal bank departments. The role also performs teller duties when needed, including processing transactions and balancing the cash drawer.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two years of teller or related financial customer service experience handling cash.
At least one year of banking experience.
Ability to deal with customers in a pleasant and effective manner.
Knowledge of internal bank operations, including wire transfers, debits and credits, and loan payments.
Knowledge of banking products for cross-selling.
Good verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Good computer knowledge, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

Open personal and business accounts.
Gather and properly document required new-account information and documentation.
Input Know Your Customer (KYC) data and documents.
Cross-sell bank products and services.
Assist branch personnel and customers with account-related inquiries.
Provide customer service in person, by email, and by phone, and serve internal bank departments.
Perform teller duties when needed.
Process teller transactions and perform paying and receiving functions for commercial and personal accounts.
Process deposits, cashier's checks, money orders, and cash advances.
Gather CTR information for transactions exceeding the established threshold.
Balance the cash drawer.
