About The Position

The Retail Banking Representative is responsible for opening personal and business accounts, ensuring required new-account documentation is gathered and properly recorded, and cross-selling bank products and services. The role supports branch personnel and customers with account-related inquiries and provides customer service in person, by email, and by phone, as well as to the bank’s internal departments. The representative also performs teller duties when needed, processing transactions for commercial and personal accounts and balancing the cash drawer.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two years of teller or related financial customer service experience handling cash.
At least one year of banking experience.
Ability to deal with customers in a pleasant and effective manner.
Knowledge of internal bank operations, including wire transfers, debits and credits, and loan payments.
Knowledge of banking products for cross-selling.
Good verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Good computer knowledge, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

Open personal and business accounts and ensure new-account documentation is gathered and properly recorded.
Enter Know Your Customer (KYC) data and documents.
Assist branch personnel and customers with account-related inquiries.
Provide customer service to customers in person, by email, and by phone, and to internal bank departments.
Perform teller duties when needed.
Process teller transactions, including paying and receiving functions for commercial and personal accounts.
Process services such as deposits, cashier’s checks, money orders, and cash advances.
Gather Currency Transaction Report (CTR) information for transactions exceeding the established threshold.
Balance the cash drawer.
Cross-sell bank products and services.
