About The Position

The Retail Banking Representative I / Float provides customers with superior, quality customer service while processing transactions efficiently and accurately. The role builds customer relationships by identifying financial needs, offering or referring customers to products and services, and opening new deposit accounts to support customer goals. The representative may assist other branches as requested and may participate in a Saturday rotation. The position also involves maintaining the branch’s appearance, participating in training, and complying with the Bank’s mission, vision, policies, procedures, and regulations. Other job-related duties may be assigned by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of related clerical or administrative experience, or training.
• Detailed understanding of banking services and products.
• Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality of work.
• Ability to handle changing priorities in a deadline-oriented environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform teller transactions and process new deposit account requests.
• Process customer service requests, including stop payments, wire transfers, special account instructions, and account maintenance.
• Open basic deposit accounts, including individual or joint consumer accounts with POA or POD designations and sole proprietorship accounts.
• Identify customers’ current and future financial needs and offer solutions directly or through referrals.
• Resolve customer complaints and address concerns related to deposit account transactions.
• Follow bank policies, procedures, compliance standards, and regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer information and activities.
• Promote accuracy and quality in branch work.
• Become proficient with job-related systems and equipment.
• Contribute to the general upkeep and appearance of the branch.
• Participate in available training opportunities.
• Understand and comply with the Bank’s mission and vision.
• Assist other branches as requested.
• Participate in a Saturday rotation schedule, if included.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
