Seasonal Retail At Your Service Associate, Old Orchard
About The Position
The Seasonal Retail At Your Service Associate supports Macy’s At Your Service activities and helps deliver a seamless, personalized shopping experience. Duties include Buy Online Pickup In Store (BOPS), merchandise returns, order pickups, curbside delivery, and other assigned tasks while upholding Macy’s service standards. The role involves helping customers, completing transactions with the required systems, keeping service and pickup areas clean and organized, recovering merchandise, and contributing to sales goals and store results. Associates are expected to provide genuine hospitality, share loyalty program benefits, support credit account acquisition, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. Availability must include a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The position is seasonal.
Requirements
- Flexible availability for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
- Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety rules and procedures in English.
- Ability to make prompt, sound decisions to address customer needs and resolve issues.
- Comfort communicating and collaborating with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to meet daily sales goal challenges.
- Enjoyment of meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information.

- Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Ability to frequently use computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and process register transactions.
Responsibilities
- Support At Your Service activities, including Buy Online Pickup In Store (BOPS), merchandise returns, order pickups, and other assigned tasks.
- Welcome customers, provide genuine and personalized service, and resolve customer needs and issues.
- Assist with total store fulfillment and complete transactions using the systems required for the role.
- Keep the collection, pickup, and return areas clean, organized, and ready for customers.
- Complete BOPS orders in a timely manner and provide curbside delivery.
- Recover merchandise and maintain a clean, organized, and shoppable space.
- Share loyalty program benefits and support the acquisition of new customers by opening credit accounts.
- Review sales goals, learn about new arrivals, top-selling items, trends, and promotions, and work toward sales goals.
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to individual and store results.
