About The Position

The Part Time Retail Associate at TJ Maxx is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The associate follows operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The role supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; processes customer purchases and returns accurately; promotes credit and loyalty programs; prepares and merchandises products according to company procedures; and helps maintain store recovery, cleanliness, and safety. Associates provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback, follow labor laws and company procedures, and contribute to shrink-reduction efforts. Other duties may be assigned. The position is at TJ Maxx Store 1448 in Queen Creek, Arizona. Starting pay is USD $15.15 to $15.65 per hour, with actual pay based on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. Benefits are subject to applicable plan terms and, in some cases, service or hours requirements.

Responsibilities

Deliver a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers.

Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards and help maintain cleanliness throughout the store.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
