About The Position

The Retail Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience through engaging with customers and applying customer experience practices. The role helps maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment and follows operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards. Associates may be cross-trained to work in multiple store areas to support business needs.

The position also includes accurately processing purchases and returns, promoting credit and loyalty programs, preparing merchandise for the sales floor, and participating in store recovery and shrink-reduction efforts. Associates support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect and provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback. Starting pay is $15.00 to $15.50 per hour; actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and following customer experience principles.
• Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participate in maintaining and cleaning the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
