About The Position

The Retail Associate promotes and supports the Red Wing brand through professional selling, customer loyalty, and lasting relationships. The role delivers the Red Wing Shoe Company’s Ultimate Fit Experience (UFX), sells premium products, and provides conscientious customer service. It also supports the daily operations of the retail store and helps maintain a safe, clean, and well-presented sales environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• Must be age 18 or older within 30 days of application.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience.
• Results-oriented.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer utilization skills.
• Able to lift 50 pounds and perform bending or squatting to lace shoes, overhead lifting, twisting, and ladder climbing.
• Able to stand for long periods and perform housekeeping duties, including vacuuming, mopping and waxing floors, washing windows, disinfecting with chemicals, handling trash and recycling, and installing or maintaining furniture, fixtures, and displays.

Responsibilities

• Guide each customer through Red Wing Shoe Company’s Ultimate Fit Experience.
• Recommend appropriate accessories and educate customers about their benefits.
• Generate industrial sales leads.
• Achieve and exceed daily productivity and sales goals.
• Maintain the sales floor presentation, store signage, and housekeeping standards.
• Maintain product knowledge and proficiency with technical and operating standards through continuous learning.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organizational standards and legal regulations.
• Provide direct support in daily retail store operations.
• Maintain knowledge of the company’s electronic communication software.
• Establish, follow, and enforce organizational quality system standards to maintain quality service.
• Uphold Red Wing Shoe Company’s core values and policies.
• Perform additional duties as required.
• Build collaborative relationships with key people at work.
