About The Position

The Seasonal Part-time Retail Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The role follows operational, merchandise, loss prevention, labor, and safety standards, and may involve cross-training in multiple store areas to support business needs. The associate supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; accurately handles customer purchases, returns, and change; promotes credit and loyalty programs; processes merchandise for the sales floor; and maintains merchandising, recovery, cleanliness, and organization standards. The associate also supports store shrink-reduction goals, participates in safety awareness, and performs other duties as assigned. This is a seasonal, part-time position at HomeGoods Store 0146 in Reading, Massachusetts. Starting pay is USD $16.25 to $16.75 per hour; actual starting pay depends on factors including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

Deliver a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and following established customer experience practices.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Follow merchandising philosophy, procedures, and standards.
Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Maintain organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain the entire store.
Give and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
May be cross-trained to work in multiple areas of the store to support business needs.
