About The Position

The UPS Store Retail Associate assists customers and delivers exceptional service in person and by telephone. The role includes receiving and processing courier shipments and operating store equipment such as copiers, fax machines, binding and laminating equipment, and point-of-sale devices. The associate learns the store’s services, products, and value options to provide customers with accurate information and useful solutions. The position offers formal on-the-job training and opportunities to grow into full-time and leadership roles. It is part-time, with availability needed for opening shifts and weekends. The posting lists morning availability as “7:30pm-2:00pm” in one section and “7:30 PM – 2:00 PM” in another; weekend shifts are 9:00 AM–5:00 PM. The role is at 3267 Bee Caves Rd in Bee Cave and pays $17.00 per hour, based on experience.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Suites, and internet proficiency.
Outstanding telephone, verbal, written, spelling, and math skills.
Prompt, dependable, and responsible.
Able to safely lift more than 40 pounds.
Willing and able to work 15–30 hours per week.
Available to cover opening shifts and weekend shifts as needed.

Nice To Haves

Previous retail customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Deliver outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and respond to telephone inquiries.
Complete Notary certification and provide notary services to customers.
Use good listening skills with customers, UPS Store team members, and leadership.
Take ownership of customers’ shipping needs and offer viable solutions.
Learn product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends.
Operate equipment, software, and devices expertly, and be willing to teach others.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
