About The Position

The Retail Associate promotes Red Wing Shoe Company’s brand through professional selling, customer loyalty, and lasting customer relationships. The role uses the Ultimate Fit Experience (UFX) to help customers find appropriate footwear, recommends accessories, educates customers about product benefits, and provides conscientious customer service. The associate also supports store operations, maintains the sales floor and store standards, and works toward sales and productivity goals. Spanish bilingual ability is preferred.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
Must be age 18 or older within 30 days of application.
1–2 years of relevant experience.
Results oriented.
Effective written and verbal communication.
Computer utilization skills.
Ability to lift 50 pounds, bend or squat to lace shoes, lift overhead, twist, climb a ladder, and stand for long periods.
Ability to perform housekeeping duties, including vacuuming, mopping and waxing floors, washing windows, using disinfectant chemicals, handling trash and recycling, and installing or maintaining furniture, fixtures, and displays.

Responsibilities

Guide each customer through Red Wing Shoe Company’s Ultimate Fit Experience.
Recommend appropriate accessories and educate customers on their benefits.
Generate industrial sales leads.
Achieve and exceed daily productivity and sales goals.
Maintain the sales floor presentation, store signage, and housekeeping standards.
Maintain product knowledge and proficiency in technical and operating standards through continuous learning.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organizational standards and legal regulations.
Provide direct support in the daily operations of the retail store.
Maintain knowledge of the company’s electronic communication software.
Establish, follow, and uphold organizational quality system standards.
Uphold Red Wing Shoe Company’s core values and policies.
Perform additional duties as required and build collaborative relationships with relevant coworkers and contacts.
