About The Position

The Retail Associate promotes and supports Red Wing Shoe Company’s brand image through professional selling, customer loyalty, and long-lasting customer relationships. The role guides customers through the Ultimate Fit Experience (UFX), sells premium products, and provides conscientious customer service. The associate also supports daily retail store operations and maintains product knowledge, sales-floor presentation, signage, housekeeping, and safety standards. The targeted hiring range for this part-time position is $17.87–$22.26 plus commission, depending on qualifications. Individual pay within the range is based on job-related skills, competencies, experience, education or training, and market demand. The role is based in a retail store and requires physical activity including lifting, bending, squatting, reaching overhead, twisting, climbing a ladder, and standing for extended periods. Housekeeping tasks include vacuuming, mopping and waxing floors, washing windows, using disinfectant chemicals, handling trash and recycling, and installing or maintaining furniture, fixtures, and displays.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
Must be age 18 or older within 30 days of application.
1–2 years of relevant experience.
Results-oriented.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Computer utilization skills.
Ability to lift 50 pounds, bend or squat to lace shoes, lift overhead, twist, climb a ladder, and stand for long periods.
Ability to perform housekeeping duties, including vacuuming, mopping and waxing floors, washing windows, using disinfectant chemicals, handling trash and recycling, and installing or maintaining furniture, fixtures, and displays.

Guide each customer through Red Wing Shoe Company’s Ultimate Fit Experience.
Recommend appropriate accessories and educate customers about their benefits.
Generate industrial sales leads.
Achieve and exceed daily productivity and sales goals.
Maintain the sales-floor presentation, store signage, and housekeeping standards.
Maintain product knowledge and proficiency with technical and operating standards through continuous learning.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organizational standards and legal regulations.
Provide direct support for daily retail store operations.
Maintain knowledge of the company’s electronic communication software to obtain necessary information.
