About The Position

The Retail Associate promotes and supports Red Wing Shoe Company’s brand image through professional selling, customer loyalty, and long-lasting customer relationships. The role delivers the Ultimate Fit Experience (UFX), sells premium products, and provides conscientious customer service while supporting the daily operation and presentation of the retail store. The position is part-time, with a targeted hiring range of $15.00–$20.50 plus commission, depending on qualifications and location.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
Must be age 18 or older within 30 days of application.
1–2 years of relevant experience.
Results-oriented.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Computer utilization skills.
Ability to lift 50 pounds; bend or squat to lace shoes; lift overhead; twist; climb a ladder; and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

Guide each customer through Red Wing Shoe Company’s Ultimate Fit Experience.
Recommend appropriate accessories and educate customers about their benefits.
Generate industrial sales leads.
Achieve and exceed daily productivity and sales goals.
Maintain the sales floor presentation, store signage, and housekeeping standards.
Maintain proficiency in product knowledge, technical standards, and operating standards through continuous learning.
Help maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organizational standards and legal regulations.
Provide direct support in the daily operations of the retail store.
Maintain knowledge of the company’s electronic communication software to obtain necessary information.
Establish, follow, and enforce organizational quality system standards to maintain quality service.
Uphold Red Wing Shoe Company’s core values and perform additional duties as required.
Build collaborative relationships with key people with whom the associate works or interacts.
Perform housekeeping tasks, including vacuuming, mopping and waxing floors, washing windows, handling trash and recycling, and installing or maintaining furniture, fixtures, and displays.
