About The Position

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers is hiring a part-time Retail Associate – Processor for its Valdosta retail store. The role processes donated goods with close attention to detail and applies decisive measurements to determine next steps for items under review while meeting production time requirements. The processor helps maintain donation quality standards and demonstrates customer commitment and personal effectiveness. The position averages 20–25 hours per week, with hours fluctuating according to business needs, such as seasonal changes and donation volumes. The associate will be cross-trained and expected to learn and work in all areas of retail operations. The associate must be available for any shifts Monday through Sunday; the position typically works between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. EST.

Requirements

Average math skills.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Availability to work any shifts Monday through Sunday.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in retail or a customer service-related environment is preferred.
Warehouse experience is preferred.
A High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is preferred.

Responsibilities

Process and sort donated goods rapidly and accurately.
Stock store shelves neatly and orderly.
Rotate merchandise using a color-coded system.
Identify quality donations and ensure they are promptly priced, processed, and transported to the sales floor.
Achieve production goals and outcomes based on donation quality and quantity.
Work in other store areas as requested by the leadership team.
Learn and work in all areas of the retail operation after cross-training.
