About The Position

The Retail Associate - Food Service performs moderately difficult work preparing and serving food and carrying out cashiering functions in cash operation outlets. The role follows established practices and procedures learned through annual in-service training. Duties also include maintaining dining and food-preparation areas, transporting waste and recycling, handling food and supplies, and using and sanitizing food-service equipment properly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to understand and follow simple verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties according to established practices learned in annual in-service training and procedures.
• Maintain the cleanliness of tables, chairs, counters, and prep spaces in the dining rooms of cash operation outlets.
• Transport full compost, recycling, and trash bins by elevator to the appropriate holding area.
• Collect, prepare, distribute, serve, and store food and supplies in cash operation outlets, including merchandising in compliance with applicable codes.
• Perform cash-handling functions in cash operation outlets.
• Demonstrate proper use and sanitation of all equipment needed to perform duties.
