About The Position

The Retail Assistant Store Manager helps the Retail Store Manager lead the retail sales team. The role sets an example by building customer connections, communicating Vuori’s brand values through product knowledge and an optimistic outlook, and encouraging the team to uphold retail sales and customer experience standards. The assistant manager supports daily store operations and leadership, prioritizes customer experience, motivates the sales team toward goals in a team-based commission environment, and assists with inventory, merchandising, maintenance, and shipment processing. When the Store Manager is not present, the assistant manager leads the team in day-to-day operations. The role also supports store opening and closing procedures and helps maintain the store’s operational and visual standards.

Requirements

Available mornings and/or evenings for 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week, including at least one weekend day.
Demonstrated punctuality and attendance, with adherence to scheduled shifts.
Ability to develop relationships with customers and colleagues.
Customer service expertise, including creating experiences, developing customer relationships, embracing the social aspect of sales, and responding positively and proactively to customer concerns.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to learn new procedures and processes quickly.
Strong organizational and follow-through skills.

Responsibilities

Work with the sales team to ensure each customer receives the best experience possible.
Take ownership of the sales floor and sales team, keeping customer experience the first priority.
Prepare fitting rooms, find sizes, and provide customers with knowledgeable feedback on merchandise style and fit.
Build customer relationships by discussing product details, new products, and replenishment, and inviting customers to events.
Stay informed about new and best-selling products and share information with customers and the team.
Lead day-to-day store operations when the Store Manager is not present.
Motivate the sales team and work toward sales goals in a team-based commission environment.
Build product knowledge in the broader fashion landscape and activewear to serve customers as an expert.
Lead team projects while maintaining a focus on customer experience.
Communicate inventory needs to support business goals.
Assist the Store Inventory Lead with shipment processing and inventory management.
Work with the Retail Store Manager on daily maintenance, sales strategy, community, and team management.
Lead daily store maintenance, including restocking, visual merchandising, and cleaning.
Follow safety standards and protocols when opening and closing the store.
Encourage employees, under the Retail Store Manager’s guidance, to give their full effort and meet punctuality and role responsibilities.
Complete weekly manual restocks and send reports to inventory management.
Complete weekly cycle counts and assist with weekly shipments.
Ensure store supplies are stocked and communicate supply needs monthly.
Process online returns and defective products as needed and ship them to the warehouse.
Ensure daily restocking and destocking are completed.
Help keep the backroom clean and bins organized.
Manage Aloha displays, refreshing and restocking them weekly.
Refresh mannequins and check one-offs.
Ensure merchandising standards are maintained on the sales floor.
