About The Position

DXL Group is seeking a self-driven, results-oriented Retail Assistant Store Manager who is passionate about customer service and coaching team members in a fast-paced environment. The role helps build long-term relationships with guests by providing a distinctive shopping experience. The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in achieving sales plans and monitoring customer service, inventory, expense control, and risk management. Compensation is an hourly base wage with potential sales commission and eligibility for a quarterly bonus based on overall store sales. DXL highlights internal promotion opportunities, free-standing store locations that close at 7 p.m., and quarterly bonus eligibility for the entire team.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in an Assistant Store Manager role.
• At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role.
• Willingness to travel to neighboring store locations.
• Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. and move up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Welcome each guest and spend time asking questions to understand their needs, preferences, and lifestyle.
• Assist the Store Manager in ensuring the store meets sales plans while monitoring customer service, inventory, expense control, and risk management.
• Act as a product knowledge expert and sell and market a broad range of apparel, including private labels, name brands, and tailored clothing.
• Help build a customer-focused sales team through ongoing coaching and training in selling skills, behaviors, and operational procedures.
