About The Position

As the Assistant Manager at a Best Buy retail store, you will support store sales, operations, and services, partnering closely with the General Manager to drive store performance and execution. You will provide leadership and direction to sales floor employees and support a culture of flexibility, cross-training, and skill development. The role includes managing store leadership responsibilities, employee development and performance, and in-store and in-home resource deployment to help deliver strong customer and employee experiences.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a supervisor or manager in business, the military, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of sales or customer service experience.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of experience managing and reviewing operational expenses and revenue.
• Consumer electronics industry experience.
• Prior experience setting retail sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Manage store leadership duties to ensure employees are efficiently deployed and remove barriers to great customer experiences.
• Manage employee experiences, development, and performance.
• Analyze performance indicators against business strategies and lead efforts to maximize results or course-correct across business areas.
• Monitor results to identify store opportunities and improve customer and employee experiences across business areas.
• Deploy resources in the store and customers’ homes, including shift leads and third-party labor.
• Partner with the General Manager to promote flexibility and train associates across departments.
