About The Position

DXL Group, the largest specialty retailer of men's Big +Tall apparel, is seeking a self-driven, results-oriented Retail Assistant Store Manager who is passionate about customer service and coaching team members in a fast-paced environment. The role focuses on building long-term relationships with guests and providing an experience unmatched by other retailers. The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in achieving store sales plans and overseeing customer service, inventory, expense control, and risk management. DXL describes its stores as free-standing, not located in malls, and closing at 7 p.m. The company promotes employee development and promotion from within, and the entire team is eligible for quarterly bonuses. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of experience in an Assistant Store Manager role.
At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role.
Willingness to travel to neighboring store locations.
Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. and move up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

College degree.
Previous experience working in a commission-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

Welcome each guest and spend quality time asking questions to understand their needs, preferences, and lifestyle.
Assist the Store Manager in ensuring the store meets sales plans while monitoring customer service, inventory, expense control, and risk management.
Serve as a product knowledge expert and sell and market a broad range of apparel, including private labels, name brands, and tailored clothing.
Help build a customer-focused sales team through ongoing coaching and training in selling skills, behaviors, and operational procedures.
