About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Management Team with store operations and team leadership. The role drives daily store performance, motivates employees, and helps ensure seamless customer service. It also contributes to profitability through inventory management, visual merchandising, and sales initiatives.

The position includes overseeing store systems and operational processes, including scheduling and opening and closing procedures. The Assistant Store Manager may occasionally lift and move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds to support peak store operations. Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays is needed as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Retail, restaurant, or hospitality leadership experience preferred, but not required.
• Sales skills to drive revenue growth and meet targets.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
• Strong organizational skills for managing inventory and operational tasks.
• Ability to create a respectful, inclusive, and safe work environment for employees and customers.
• Exceptional team leadership and communication skills to foster collaboration and success.
• Acts with a sense of confidentiality and urgency.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Mentor, coach, and motivate employees to achieve sales goals, deliver outstanding customer service, and foster a positive work environment.
• Ensure product displays and store layouts meet Skechers' standards for style and innovation.
• Monitor stock levels, manage restocking, and organize the sales floor.
• Oversee store systems, scheduling, opening and closing procedures, and operational processes.
• Drive revenue growth by implementing performance strategies, setting expectations, and exceeding sales goals.
• Proactively address operational challenges and resolve customer concerns.
• Occasionally lift and move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds to support peak store operations.
