About The Position

The Retail Assistant Store Manager supports the Management Team with operations management and team leadership. The role helps drive daily store performance, motivate employees, deliver customer service, manage inventory, maintain visual merchandising, and execute sales strategies that contribute to store profitability. The position also supports store systems and operations, including scheduling and opening and closing procedures. It may involve occasionally lifting and moving boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old at the time of application.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory and operational tasks.
• Experience in sales management, delivering results, and meeting targets.
• Sales skills to drive revenue growth and meet targets.
• Exceptional team leadership and communication skills, including written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to create a respectful, inclusive, and safe environment for employees and customers.
• Ability to act with confidentiality and urgency.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Retail, restaurant, or hospitality leadership experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Mentor, coach, and motivate employees to meet sales goals and provide outstanding customer service.
• Help foster a positive, respectful, inclusive, and safe work environment.
• Maintain product displays and store layouts to Skechers' visual merchandising standards.
• Monitor stock levels, manage restocking, and organize the sales floor.
• Oversee store systems, scheduling, opening and closing procedures, and operational processes.
• Support peak store operations, including occasionally lifting and moving boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Implement sales performance strategies, set expectations, and work to exceed sales goals.
• Address operational challenges and resolve customer concerns.
