About The Position

The Retail Assistant Store Manager helps the Retail Store Manager lead the retail sales team and communicate Vuori’s brand values through product knowledge, customer connections, and an optimistic approach. The role supports customer experience and sales standards, and leads daily store operations when the Store Manager is not present. The Assistant Store Manager works with the sales team to deliver strong customer experiences, maintain the sales floor, build customer relationships, and share knowledge about products and merchandise. The role also supports sales goals, inventory and shipment processing, store maintenance, merchandising, and the development and performance of the team.

Requirements

Available mornings and/or evenings, able to work 8-hour shifts 5 days per week, and available at least one weekend day.
Demonstrated punctuality and attendance, adhering to scheduled shifts.
Ability to develop relationships with customers and colleagues.
Customer-service expertise, including creating experiences, developing customer relationships, and proactively handling customer concerns.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to quickly learn new procedures and processes.

Responsibilities

Work with the sales team to ensure each customer receives the best experience possible.
Take ownership of the sales floor and sales team, keeping customer experience the first priority.
Prepare fitting rooms, find sizes, and provide customers with knowledgeable feedback about merchandise style and fit.
Build customer relationships by discussing product details, new products, replenishment, and upcoming events.
Stay informed about new and popular products and share knowledge with customers and the team.
Lead day-to-day store operations when the Store Manager is not present.
Motivate the sales team and work toward sales goals in a team-based commission environment.
Develop product knowledge in fashion and activewear and serve as an expert for customers.
Lead team projects while maintaining a focus on customer experience.
Communicate inventory needs to support business goals.
Assist the Store Inventory Lead with shipments and inventory management.
Work with the Retail Store Manager on daily maintenance, sales strategy, community, and team management.
Lead daily store maintenance, including restocking, visual merchandising, and cleaning.
Follow protocols and safety standards when opening and closing the store.
Encourage employees to give their full effort and meet punctuality and role responsibilities.
Complete weekly manual restock and send reports to inventory management.
Complete weekly cycle counts and assist with weekly shipment processing.
Keep store supplies stocked and communicate supply needs monthly.
Process online returns and defective products as needed and ship them to the warehouse.
Ensure daily restocking and destocking.
Help keep the backroom clean and bins organized.
Manage Aloha displays, refreshing and restocking them weekly.
Manage mannequin refreshes and check one-offs.
Ensure merchandising standards are maintained on the sales floor.
