About The Position

DXL Group is seeking a self-driven, results-oriented Retail Assistant Store Manager who is passionate about customer service and coaching team members in a fast-paced retail environment. The role supports the Store Manager in achieving store sales plans and maintaining strong customer service, inventory, expense control, and risk management. The assistant manager helps guests find apparel suited to their needs, preferences, and lifestyle, and serves as a product knowledge expert across private-label, name-brand, and tailored clothing. The position also helps develop a customer-focused sales team through ongoing coaching and training. DXL operates free-standing stores that close at 7 p.m. and promotes employee development and advancement from within.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in an Assistant Store Manager role.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Willingness to travel to neighboring store locations.
• Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. and move up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Welcome each guest and spend quality time asking questions to understand their needs, preferences, and lifestyle.
• Assist the Store Manager in meeting sales plans and monitoring customer service, inventory, expense control, and risk management.
• Build and apply product knowledge to sell and market a broad range of apparel, including private labels, name brands, and tailored clothing.
• Help build a customer-focused sales team through ongoing coaching and training in selling skills, behaviors, and operational procedures.
