About The Position

The Retail Assistant Store Manager supports the Management Team in operations management and team leadership. The role drives daily store performance, inspires employees, and ensures seamless customer service. It also contributes to store profitability through inventory management, visual merchandising, and sales management. The position may involve occasionally lifting and moving boxes weighing up to 50 lbs. The role requires flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.

Requirements

• Sales management experience, including delivering results and meeting targets.
• Strong organizational skills to manage inventory and operational tasks.
• Exceptional team leadership and communication skills, including written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to foster collaboration and create a respectful, inclusive, and safe work environment.
• Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Retail, restaurant, or hospitality leadership experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Mentor, coach, and motivate employees to achieve sales goals, provide outstanding customer service, and foster a positive work environment.
• Ensure product displays and store layouts meet Skechers’ standards for style and innovation, acting as a brand ambassador.
• Monitor stock levels, manage restocking, and organize the sales floor.
• Oversee store systems, scheduling, opening and closing procedures, and other operational processes.
• Support peak store operations by occasionally lifting and moving boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Implement sales performance strategies, set expectations, and work to exceed sales goals and drive revenue growth.
• Proactively address operational challenges and resolve customer concerns.
• Act with confidentiality and urgency and help create a respectful, inclusive, and safe environment for employees and customers.
