About The Position

DXL Group is seeking a self-driven, results-oriented Retail Assistant Store Manager who is passionate about customer service and coaching team members in a fast-paced environment. The role focuses on building long-term relationships with guests and delivering a retail experience that stands out. The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in achieving store sales plans and overseeing customer service, inventory, expense control, and risk management. The position also helps develop a customer-focused sales team through ongoing coaching and training. DXL says it develops employees to promote from within, operates free-standing stores outside malls that close at 7 p.m., and makes the entire team eligible for quarterly bonuses. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of experience in an Assistant Store Manager role.
At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role.
Willingness to travel to neighboring store locations.
Ability to lift up to 10 pounds and move up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

College degree.
Previous experience working in a commission-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

Make guests feel welcome by spending quality time with them and asking questions to understand their needs, preferences, and lifestyle.
Assist the Store Manager in meeting sales plans while monitoring customer service, inventory, expense control, and risk management.
Serve as a product knowledge expert and sell and market a broad range of apparel, including private labels, name brands, and tailored clothing.
Help build a customer-focused sales team by providing ongoing coaching and training in selling skills, behaviors, and operational procedures.
