About The Position

The Retail Assistant Store Manager supports the Management Team in operations management and team leadership. The role drives daily store performance, motivates employees, and helps deliver seamless customer service. It contributes to store profitability through inventory management, visual merchandising, and sales management. The position also involves overseeing store systems and processes and supporting peak operations, including occasionally lifting and moving boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.

Requirements

• Experience in sales management, delivering results, and meeting targets.
• Strong organizational skills for managing inventory and operational tasks.
• Exceptional team leadership and communication skills, including written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to handle confidential matters with urgency.
• Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Retail, restaurant, or hospitality leadership experience preferred but not required.
• Sales skills to drive revenue growth and meet targets.

Responsibilities

• Mentor, coach, and motivate employees to achieve sales goals, provide outstanding customer service, and foster a positive work environment.
• Ensure product displays and store layouts meet Skechers' standards for style and innovation.
• Monitor stock levels, manage restocking, and organize the sales floor.
• Oversee store systems, scheduling, opening and closing procedures, and operational processes.
• Support peak store operations, including occasionally lifting and moving boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Implement strategies to grow revenue, set performance expectations, and exceed sales goals.
• Address operational challenges and resolve customer concerns.
