About The Position

DXL Group, a specialty retailer of men's Big +Tall apparel, is seeking a self-driven, results-oriented Retail Assistant Store Manager. The role focuses on building long-term relationships with guests through an exceptional customer experience and coaching team members to achieve their goals in a fast-paced environment. The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in meeting sales plans and overseeing customer service, inventory, expense control, and risk management. The position also contributes to developing a customer-focused sales team through ongoing coaching and training.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in an Assistant Store Manager role.
• At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role.
• Willingness to travel to neighboring store locations.
• Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. and move up to 50 lbs.

• Previous involvement working in a commission-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Make each guest feel welcome by spending quality time with them and asking questions to understand their needs, preferences, and lifestyle.
• Assist the Store Manager in ensuring the store meets sales plans while monitoring customer service, inventory, expense control, and risk management.
• Serve as a product knowledge expert and sell and market a broad range of apparel, including private labels, name brands, and tailored clothing.
• Help build a superior customer-focused sales team by providing ongoing coaching and training in selling skills, behaviors, and operational procedures.
