Resupply Representative
About The Position
PromptCare is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Resupply Representative to provide exceptional customer service to clients in the respiratory and enteral nutrition industry, specifically for disposable supplies. The representative processes inbound orders from referral sources and assistance requests from patients through inbound and outbound calls, faxes, emails, and online ordering portals. The role requires proficiency in insurance data collection, verification, and authorization. This is a full-time position scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, reporting to the Resupply Manager.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Work experience in a Respiratory Home Durable Medical Equipment company.
- Strong PC skills, especially the Microsoft Office suite.
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree or some college.
Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently process Durable Medical Equipment (DME) sales orders for resupply needs, including oxygen, ventilator, tracheostomy, and enteral nutrition.
- Verify insurance and update patient files, including demographics, insurance, and benefit information.
- Manage patient prescriptions and request prior authorization when necessary to fill orders.
- Communicate with patients and providers by telephone, email, and web portals.
- Develop working knowledge of Brightree, Document EMR Management, Microsoft Office, MS Teams, McKesson, Cardinal, resupply web portals, and other applications or software related to patient resupply fulfillment.
- Document and enter new referrals and subsequent patient admissions from start to finish, following PromptCare policies and procedures.
- Meet productivity metrics and maintain related responsibilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
