Resupply Representative
About The Position
PromptCare is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Resupply Representative to provide customer service to clients in the respiratory and enteral nutrition industry, specifically for disposable supplies. The representative processes inbound orders from referral sources and patient requests for assistance through inbound and outbound calls, faxes, emails, and online ordering portals. The role requires proficiency in insurance data collection, verification, and authorization. The position reports to the Resupply Manager and is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Work experience in a Respiratory Home Durable Medical Equipment company.
- Strong PC skills, especially Microsoft Office.
- Proficiency in insurance data collection, verification, and authorization.
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree or some college.
Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently process Durable Medical Equipment (DME) sales orders for resupply needs, including oxygen, ventilator, tracheostomy, and enteral nutrition supplies.
- Verify insurance and update patient files, including demographics, insurance, and benefit information.
- Manage patient prescriptions and request prior authorization when necessary to fill orders.
- Communicate with patients and providers by telephone, email, and web portals.
- Develop working knowledge of Brightree, Document EMR Management, Microsoft Office, MS Teams, McKesson, Cardinal, resupply web portals, and other applications or software related to patient resupply fulfillment.
- Document and enter computer information for new referrals and subsequent patient admissions from start to finish, following PromptCare policies and procedures.
- Meet productivity metrics.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
