About The Position

Aviata at Saint Lucie is seeking a patient- and family-focused, team-oriented Restorative Nursing Aide to support residents and help build a positive community culture. The role provides direct restorative care to residents, promoting their ability to attain and maintain maximum functional potential while minimizing functional decline. The aide encourages residents’ participation in assigned programs, documents care and resident changes, and contributes ideas to improve systems and processes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Certification or registration in the state of practice.
• Maintain at least 12 hours of continuing education to maintain certification.
• Qualified, compassionate, and dedicated approach to work.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience in a setting serving the same age or type of resident population as the facility.
• Knowledge and skills in basic restorative nursing principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to residents receiving restorative nursing services to help maintain maximum functional potential and minimize functional decline.
• Provide restorative care, including restorative dining, splints, activities of daily living, bowel and bladder management, passive and active range of motion, ambulation, and transfers.
• Encourage residents to participate in assigned programs through verbal cueing, one-on-one assistance, and safety precautions.
• Maintain documentation for each resident participating in the Restorative Program and notify management of resident changes.
• Contribute innovative ideas and support the creation and implementation of improvements to systems and processes.
