Restorative CNA - PRN
About The Position
Aegis Therapies, a leading provider of rehabilitation and wellness services, is hiring a Wellness Instructor in Restorative Care. This role involves working exclusively with the therapy team to provide expertise in wellness, fitness, and exercise programs within a rehabilitation center, skilled nursing facility, or senior care setting. The position offers comprehensive restorative training onsite, with no prior restorative experience required, though a CNA certification is mandatory. Responsibilities include assisting in the restorative care of patients with a focus on ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, range of motion exercises, dressing/grooming, and splint/prosthesis care, while minimizing less desirable CNA tasks. The role utilizes the EnerG by Aegis program, which focuses on the seven dimensions of wellness for a holistic approach to health and happiness.
Requirements
- Current certification as Certified Nursing Assistant / CNA in state of practice
- High School diploma or equivalent, preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Specialty certification as personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor, health and fitness specialist or similar area, preferred.
- Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations, preferred.
Responsibilities
- Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
- Receive full restorative training provided onsite.
- Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
- Exclusive restorative responsibilities including ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, and splint/prosthesis care.
