About The Position

Aegis Therapies, a leading provider of rehabilitation and wellness services, is hiring a Wellness Instructor in Restorative Care. This role involves working exclusively with the therapy team to deliver wellness, fitness, and exercise programs. The position offers full restorative training onsite, with no prior restorative experience necessary, though a CNA certification is required. Responsibilities include assisting in the restorative care of patients with a focus on ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, and splint/prosthesis care, while minimizing less desirable CNA tasks. The role utilizes the EnerG by Aegis program, which focuses on the seven dimensions of wellness for a holistic approach to health and happiness.

Requirements

• Current certification as Certified Nursing Assistant / CNA in state of practice

Nice To Haves

• High School diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Specialty certification as personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor, health and fitness specialist or similar area, preferred.
• Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
• Receive full restorative training provided onsite.
• Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
• Exclusive restorative responsibilities including ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, and splint/prosthesis care.
