About The Position

Aegis Therapies, a leading provider of rehabilitation and wellness services, is seeking a Wellness Instructor in Restorative Care. This role involves working exclusively with the therapy team to deliver wellness, fitness, and exercise programs. The position includes full onsite restorative training, so no prior restorative experience is necessary, though CNA certification is required. Responsibilities include assisting in patient restorative care, focusing on tasks like ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, range of motion, dressing/grooming, and splint/prosthesis care, with limited exposure to other typical CNA duties. The role is part of the EnerG by Aegis program, which focuses on a holistic, individualized approach to enhance health and happiness through the seven dimensions of wellness. This patient-centered approach aims to make a significant difference in the lives of patients in skilled nursing facilities.

Requirements

• Current certification as Certified Nursing Assistant / CNA in state of practice

Nice To Haves

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Specialty certification as personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor, health and fitness specialist or similar area
• Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations

Responsibilities

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs
• Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed
• Perform exclusive restorative responsibilities including Ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care
