CNA Restorative - PRN
About The Position
Aegis Therapies, a leading provider of rehabilitation and wellness services, is hiring a Wellness Instructor in Restorative Care. This role reports to the Director of Rehabilitation/Therapy and works exclusively with the therapy team to provide expertise in wellness, fitness, and exercise programs. The position offers full restorative training onsite, with no prior restorative experience necessary, though a CNA certification is required. Responsibilities include assisting in restorative care as directed, focusing on ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, and splint/prosthesis care, with limited less desirable CNA tasks. The role is part of the EnerG by Aegis program, which focuses on the seven dimensions of wellness for a holistic approach to health and happiness.
Requirements
- Current certification as Certified Nursing Assistant / CNA in state of practice
Nice To Haves
- High School diploma or equivalent, preferred.
- Specialty certification as personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor, health and fitness specialist or similar area, preferred.
- Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations, preferred.
Responsibilities
- Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
- Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
- Exclusive restorative responsibilities including ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care.
