CNA Restorative - PRN
About The Position
Aegis Therapies, a leading provider of rehabilitation and wellness services, is seeking a Wellness Instructor in Restorative Care. This role involves working closely with the Director of Rehabilitation/Therapy and the therapy team to deliver wellness, fitness, and exercise programs. The company provides full restorative training, so prior restorative experience is not required, though a CNA Certification is mandatory. The position focuses on specific restorative responsibilities such as ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, and splint/prosthesis care, minimizing other typical CNA tasks. Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Current certification as Certified Nursing Assistant / CNA in state of practice
Nice To Haves
- Specialty certification as personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor, health and fitness specialist or similar area
- Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations
Responsibilities
- Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy
- Work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs
- Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed
- Perform exclusive restorative responsibilities (Ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care)
