Restaurant Supervisor
About The Position
The Restaurant Supervisor supports the daily operations of the hotel’s dining outlets by assisting restaurant management and guiding front-of-house staff to provide smooth, efficient service and exceptional guest experiences. The role focuses on hands-on leadership, team support, and maintaining brand and company service standards. The supervisor oversees, guides, and trains restaurant employees and reports achievements or deficiencies to the Restaurant Manager, Food and Beverage Manager, or Director. The position has no direct discipline or management responsibilities. Duties may include supervising restaurants, bars, room service, or banquet areas, and supporting special events, group functions, and VIP service.
Requirements
- A current Food Handler’s certificate or ServSafe certification is required.
- Current TABC (TX) or RVSP (LA) certification is required.
- Ability to perform the essential duties satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations where needed.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
- Two years of related experience and/or training in a hotel or food service environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily operations in restaurants, bars, room service, or banquet areas.
- Lead and motivate team members to deliver exceptional service.
- Ensure compliance with brand, health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Assist with scheduling, training, and performance feedback for hourly staff.
- Handle guest concerns promptly and professionally.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies.
- Support special events, group functions, and VIP service as needed.
- Oversee, guide, and train restaurant employees.
- Report employee achievements and deficiencies to the Restaurant Manager, Food and Beverage Manager, or Director.
