About The Position

Texas Roadhouse is seeking a Restaurant Shift Lead with strong communication and leadership skills to assist the management team. Responsibilities vary depending on whether the role is Front of House or Back of House. The Shift Lead provides hands-on supervision during scheduled shifts, supports restaurant operations and staff, and helps maintain the company’s culture and core values. The role works during peak business hours to help set the pace for the Front or Back of House.

Responsibilities

• Help maintain projected costs and labor during scheduled shifts.
• Provide hands-on restaurant supervision, including occasional temporary, non-scheduled assistance with serving, hosting, cooking, and other duties.
• Host promotions, incentives, and Alley Rallies.
• Help ensure staff follow established recipes and procedures.
• Help enforce applicable liquor laws and Responsible Alcohol Service guidelines.
• Help control guest flow and monitor ticket times.
• Work with management to enforce employment policies in areas of responsibility.
• Coach employees to maintain consistency in food and service and increase sales.
• Conduct 100% table visits, if applicable.
• Understand, manage, and practice safe food-handling procedures.
• Maintain the company’s culture and core values of passion, partnership, integrity, and fun with purpose.
• Work during peak business hours to set the pace in the Front or Back of House.
• Help create a fun and safe environment by following core values and operational goals and implementing contests, theme nights, and staff incentives.
