About The Position

Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop is hiring a Restaurant Shift Lead to help guide daily operations and support the restaurant team in Abilene, Texas. The Shift Lead oversees operations during assigned shifts, helping ensure smooth service, quality food preparation, and a positive team environment. This person supports the management team by supervising staff, maintaining operational standards, and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced restaurant setting. The role offers hands-on leadership experience and opportunities to develop toward restaurant management.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in restaurant, food service, hospitality, or retail leadership.
• Experience as a Shift Lead, Crew Leader, Team Lead, or Assistant Manager.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support team members during daily restaurant operations.
• Delegate tasks and ensure shift duties are completed efficiently.
• Maintain company standards for food quality, speed of service, and cleanliness.
• Provide excellent guest service and resolve customer concerns professionally.
• Follow company policies for food safety, sanitation, and cash handling.
• Assist with scheduling support, labor management, and inventory monitoring.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout kitchen and dining areas.
• Support smooth shift transitions through clear communication with management.
• Recognize and encourage team performance and positive contributions.
• Promote a team culture built on respect, accountability, and professionalism.
• Ensure hot food is served hot, cold food cold, and all food is fresh in a clean environment, while meeting uniform and service standards.
